Football is a huge driver for the main tv contract

Much of the content on the network will be sports other than football. I am sure notre dame will be on the channel often. I am sure that even things like the notre dame spring game, football features etc could be without being in violation of existing contracts. This is not a football only channel.

It would be like someone working and then not getting paid. Having notre dame as an active acc network could deliver many subscriptions or help in the carriage. I am sure that is a factor in ESPN agreeing to an acc network.

Nyc is not a football city. They do care about basketball and the Irish are one of the strongest fanbases there.

We are better off working together.
