Could be any number of reasons...


the 1/5 was only ever for the ESPN deal (80% for home football rights, 20% for everything else). I'm guessing ND is an equal partner in all other conference revenue, including bowls when they go to one of the ACC affiliated bowls.

doesn't seem like a big deal to me as long as they are still only getting the reduced share of the broader ESPN deal.
