This is a massive win for the ACC! No other way to portray this.
You are never going to be able to compare apples to apples. Conferences use different metrics and include certain money that others may not in order to arrive at their totals. It is just not possible to get accurate numbers when all you know is what they are telling you.
The presidents of the schools in the ACC feel like this is a good deal. They decided to agree to a 20 year term when many had other options if they wanted to ride out the GOR. When they looked at those options they decided this was best. The numbers must have been pretty close or they wouldn't have agreed to it.
I think when the numbers come out it will seem underwhelming at first but there are so many other revenue streams that need to be accounted for before you can compare between conferences. I have said it before and it should be crystal clear to everyone now that the ACC is in a good spot. The next event to watch for is the GOR for the B12. The heat is off the ACC.
