I think what the Big 12 is doing is a complete reaction play

I think they know that their league is about to go the way of the old Big East and they are looking to try to put out the fire.

The Longhorn network is ultimately going to kill that league because Texas will have a revenue stream that they others cannot match or touch. It also holds the TV future of the league hostage. Their markets are not very strong from a demographic standpoint outside of Dallas and Houston.

It looks to me like that league is a huge mess and is reacting today to the ACC Network in compete desperation.
