I suspect a lot of people who purchased tickets were making

the following assumptions:

Peach Bowl - SEC is the primary candidate to be penciled in here with the ACC or Big Ten as the likely back-up candidates

Fiesta Bowl - Big XII or Pac-12 are the primary candidates to be penciled in here with the Big Ten as the likely back-up candidate

Assuming the ACC champion, Big Ten champion, and SEC champion all qualify for the Playoffs, it will be interesting to see whether the Committee picks the ACC champion or Big Ten champion to be paired up with the SEC champion in the Peach Bowl. It may depend on whether the Big XII champion or Pac-12 champion is penciled in the Fiesta Bowl. Would a "Rose Bowl match-up" (aka Big Ten vs. Pac-12) in the Fiesta Bowl be compelling enough for the Committee to allow the Peach Bowl to have its "traditional match-up" (aka ACC vs. SEC)?
