2012--12-1, played in national title game

2013--9-4, Everett Golson suspended by school, played Tommy Rees at QB

2014--8-5, suspended five players for academics

2015- 10-3, had starting QB and RB hurt in first two games, out for year. Had two 2 point losses to top 5 schools (Clemson, Stanford) in regular season, lost to an Ohio State team in the Fiesta Bowl that had a huge number of players drafted.


Despite some adversity, ND has averaged almost 10 wins a year the past four seasons.

Some early polls have the Irish as high as #8 in the country.

Decline? Fade into irrelevance?

Most schools would like to fade and decline in such a manner.
