The ACC is head and shoulders the best conference for their non-football programs.
However, without change, their football program will slowly erode toward irrelevance. The very last thing ND wants is for no one else to care about their football program.
We've talked about playoff access being the big driver independence, and it probably is, but if BC passes catches up to them in football, that could do it too.
