Bad Blood Rules The Day

Concerning the issues of 1990. I have heard Kramer was sitting in a northern Florida hotel room the day FSU announced their intent to join the ACC. Kramer had been attempting to passionately talk & cajole FSU into joining the SEC all day. Then I hear varied stories in the opposite vain along the lines of what you just stated. I tend to think it was all just as simple as what Bobby Bowden has said through the years. Bowden has admitted repeatedly he just did not want the competition of the SEC. Why should that simple probable reality really cause bad blood within the SEC or FSU? I mean a Bobby Bowden hate fest??

Reality may be that FSU is the ultimate cog for the SEC ever reaching 16 schools within the foreseeable future. The Gators can be persuaded by the conference commish to act for the benefit of the conference. I don't know if Florida State will ever be in the SEC or not. However I would about bet the house that FSU will not ever bolt from the ACC to the B12. FSU could have done that any time before they signed that Swofford pleasing GOR.
