I agree with what you said about Oklahoma and Texas being catalysts for the SEC to move to 16. The SEC would jump in a heartbeat. I just don't ever see Texas in the SEC. Texas has ran every conference they have ever been in like they were the train engineer. I remember what Frank Broyles said years ago. "If we wanted anything ever in the SWC, we went to Texas. Once we had Texas aboard, all the other Texas schools just fell in behind Texas." Texas ran the B12 by taking larger amounts of B12 money than others and creating their own LHN and ran Nebraska, Colorado, Missouri and Texas A&M off in doing so. Texas in the SEC with Alabama and Florida. I just can not imagine that. I cannot see Texas in the ACC with North Carolina, much less with ND possibly entering the ACC as a full member. I just see Oklahoma in the SEC and Oklahoma must shed Okie Lite. I have read that Okie Lite kept Oklahoma out of the SEC a few years back.

Now if the SEC got Oklahoma. They would probably look to Virginia, Virginia Tech, North Carolina or North Carolina State as #16. Simply because of the state footprint that is so beneficial in attaining cable TV monies. However as I have read over & over in my history on ACC boards. None of those 4 schools will leave the ACC as the first school to the SEC or B1G. That will just leave FSU as the best #16 by far. Also by taking FSU, it would start a dominoe effect where they could later get a North Carolina and Virginia school.
