is that the ACC has made some bad moves for sure but they were not always operating from the position of strength. They sure made good moves in killing off the Big East thought we can argue about when they took which teams. The ACC was never in the position that the B!G or SEC is in where they can name their price or choose which schools they want. The ACC had to make moves to counterpunch above their weight class. They have had to maneuver rather than strike and that is a tough place to be in and negotiate. The biggest issue is the TV contract. They botched it in my opinion but again there were some factors that need to be accounted for including the massive shift in dollars and viewers on cable tv. Remember that the ACC could have become the last conference out but the addition of ND and a GOR secured the conference a spot in the top flight for ten plus years. considering the alternative I would say that was a pretty good move. We lost Maryland but added Louisville and held the dam from breaking. That was a pretty good move too.

The ACC is behind on the TV dollars front but there are not many options to fix that right now. In the next few months you will see the ACC making attempts to change that problem. Here is a crazy idea. What if the ACC got rid of some schools to make a merger with the B12 a possibility? That would drive up TV dollars.
