Basic recap
J Robinsons in hot water after his wrestlers were using and dealing xanax. An anonymous wrestler (who many think is a graduated senior) came forward and made the claim that 10-12 wrestlers were using xanax and as many as 4 wrestlers were dealing the drug. The pills were being supplied by a former minnesota wrestling.
Robinson found out and told the boys theyd have immunity if they turned in the drugs, got tested and wrote 1 page essays. The source claims robinson recieved 1400 pills, with the other half of the stash going into the river.
The main issue is how J Robinson involved the athletic department. If he operated solo, its pretty much the definition of a lack of control. If he informed the Athletic department, he's in much better shape. His lawyer has issued statements suggesting this.
Personally, it sounds like J Rob tried to handle the situation without legal problems. Not sweeping it under the rug, but looking out for his guys. The problem i think is that Robinson never realized what volume of drugs the team had. He recieved just below $20000 street value in xanax and im willing to bet he had no idea it was that big of a problem until it was too late.
Realistically with a new AD, a poor season and previous problems in other athletic programs at minnesota, i think he's done. He's currently on administrative leave [Post edited by Jerseyhokie29 at 06/02/2016 07:35AM]
