The ACC schools will probably be receiving $50 million less on the next tax return for obvious reasons. That will place the ACC behind the other 4 P5 leagues on a per school basis. Remember, the ACC is splitting things 14.5 ways and the Big12 is splitting them 10.
Even a UVA grad could figure that one out.

Anyhow, Maryland's money won't be dished out. The buy in for Louisville will be less. And most importantly, the Orange Bowl money won't be distributed in such a way. As many have reported, the ACC scores $27 million from the Playoffs coalition in years in which the Orange Bowl is not part of the playoff. For comparisons sake, the B1G and Pac12 score $40 million in such years. The SEC and Big12 do $40 million for the Sugar Bowl. For this particular year, those conferences did not receive the $160 million in payouts due to the Rose and Sugar Bowls being the Semifinals.


And again, the Big12 is splitting their $40 million only 10 ways.

But like I said, I do like that the ACC is trying to play the PR spin game. It's obviously been working for the other leagues.

And did anybody notice Swofford got a 600 K raise? Did anybody notice that the Big12 schools can go out and form their own networks, while ACC schools are showing such games on Raycom and MSG?

The Big12 schools receive a ton more dough from TV and bowls right now. It's not even close.
