WRT MV2 there are the run ins with the law prior to the incident

Plus the reckless driving and marijuana possession charges he got the summer after the incident that could factor into it too. MV2 was given more second chances than what is given to most student-athletes. I understand that his last name and what his brother did for the school was the primary reason for getting all those second chances. However, his last name makes him more visible in the media and I am not sure today's media would be as forgiving and understanding.
