It's different because the ND NBC deal is about football home games.


There is other stuff mixed in like ice hockey, but it's a deal that explicitly highlights ND's football independence. If ND played a full ACC schedule and kept the independent NBC television contract, there would be the appearance of independence because of television.

The LHN is an all sports network for tier 3 rights. If the ACC were going to create an ACC Network for the same things, then they would conflict with the LHN if Texas were in the ACC just as the LHN would conflict with what the Big XII wants to do.
