I was thinking more the entire chain of events including VT

giving him an opportunity to re-join the team at a later day. In terms of scandals, I would say that was probably the biggest one under Beamer or at least the biggest one I can remember. If it had happened today, then would MV2 have been given the opportunity to rejoin the team or would he have been asked to transfer to another school (assuming the review board didn't kick him out of school)?

If VT had allowed him to rejoin the team, then would there have been a media storm (maybe even bigger than what VT thought there would be)? If the media storm got too big, then could that force VT's hand to do something? I am not sure if the VT has the power to change its mind on a previous decision and revoke MV2's privilege to rejoin the team. If not, then could the school be forced to terminate either Weaver and/or Beamer for allowing MV2 to rejoin the football team? Even though he wasn't convicted of any sex crimes, I would think the media would continue to bring it up especially since over the summer of the same year he was charged with reckless driving and possession of marijuana.
