Oberlin graduate tells you like it is

I know we have that meeting on Friday in order to close that multi-million dollar deal the company has been working on for years.

I know we may lose the deal if I do not attend, but I will be taking off Friday to help shut down all the bridges in and out of Washington.

If we lose that deal on Friday because I am not there, I do expect that it will not hurt my performance review.
