No, I was suggesting future changes to the landscape given

how more people may be exploring the cord cutting option.

"Clearly, ESPN isn't going to abandon its business model, but that's not the threat here, the threat is that consumers abandon the bundle, which kills ESPN's business model whether they abandon it or not. The scary thing is this: ESPN has nothing to do with whether or not its business model will remain viable in future years, it's going to be entirely dictated by consumer behavior. Namely, how quickly do consumers who aren't watching ESPN stop paying for it?"

Also, I found an article on awfulannouncing.com that explores whether it is too late for the ACC to start its own network. What I found most interesting about the article is a reference to what Chadd Scott wrote in Gridiron Now.

"So with that in mind, a full-scale ACC network like the one the SEC has might not be coming as soon as the conference and fans would like. As Chadd Scott writes in Gridiron Now, the idea of the conference TV network as we currently know it might be dead. Instead, Scott writes that perhaps the ACC (and the Big 12 too) might want to be patient and try to develop something that could the first-of-a-kind, perhaps a hybrid of a TV network and a multi-platform online channel:

Instead of trying to be the last of what was, the ACC and Big 12 should focus on being the first of what’s next, whatever that is. Patience, hard as it may be, could be the best course of action, particularly for the ACC."

If ESPN and the ACC decided to shift their focus to the "what's next" instead of launching the ACCN, then how would that look? Would they disclose their plan to the public or keep it a secret? I am not saying that I agree with Ken Fang when he suggested at the beginning of his piece that the conference network window may be closing. I do understand why he could think it because it could explain why the launching of ACCN appears to be dragged out forever even to the point where people are doubting whether the ACCN will ever launch.
