Let's see the pods


At 18 you will have unequal pods which has its own scheduling challenges. You can do something similar now with 14 if you wanted. And, no folks, there cant be an uneven number of pods (3 X 6). Two divisions (2 x 9) would lead alienation of half a school's conference and good luck establishing that divide. You can go to 20 but that means you have to go 20+ if ND joins and there are many mouths to feed. Who do you put with BC, Pitt, Syracuse? You force Louisville in there but who is that 5th team? VT? You like that? Splitting the northern teams among multiple pods would be very awkward.
