I'm not sure if Texas could be as successful as an independent as ND.


Even ND has had mixed results. But ND is more of a national brand than Texas. However, if Texas became independent and found success, might that encourage other big name schools to follow suit. Then we could have a reversal of the trend of bigger conferences, and a move to independent status. How crazy would that be? Don't see it ever happening, don't think it would work. But many things do tend to move in cycles, with the old returning.
