My wife, who grew up in upstate New York, has been to the Dome a number of times for basketball and concerts, and she loves it.

I have only been there once, in 1996, and I found it to be a dump. It is barely big enough for football. Even though it is named for a heating and cooling company, it has no air conditioning. In 1996, it rained before the game so everyone came inside with wet jackets or clothes, and the humidity was terrible.

I was in the Metrodome in Minneapolis once for baseball. It was nicer but still not great.

Best air-lifted roof facility I've been in was probably the Dedmon Center at Radford, although a fixed roof is now in place there.
