Texas is not going to join the league in full without bringing 3 or 4 other schools with them, not including Notre Dame. Furthermore, every indication is that ND has zero intentions of fully joining the ACC anytime soon. every recent move they've made has only solidified their independence.

Texas and ND are not 15 and 16. Not gonna happen.

Now when it comes to FSU and the Big12. A couple of years ago there was legitimate interest between the two. Clemson was listening as well. We have quotes from the FSU BOT and I viewed an interview with Dabo admitting the possibility of Clemson leaving. It really truly nearly happened.

But then Swofford and ESPN came along and encouraged FSU to stay with the carrot of a network. Also, the ACC added Louisville too.

Well the network hasn't happened and the Big12 schools continue to make more money from their league than FSU or Clemson. Furthermore, every indication is that this upcoming ACCNetwork will be little more than a logo spread across existing ESPN channels.

I think FSU, Clemson, Miami, and Pitt headed to the Big12 makes more sense than Texas, TCU, Baylor, and Texas Tech heading to the ACC.
