It's not that complicated


VT has ECU & ODU scheduled until end of time. With only 8 conference games, ACC & Big10 schools with any realistic hope of making the playoff need to schedule two power 5 schools to fill the other 2 slots to keep pace with strength of schedule. Does it help with an ACC Network? It doesn't hurt, but I seriously doubt there is any connection. VT's future schedules are much more filled in than most other ACC schools.

If UMass approached the ACC about membership - and I seriously doubt they would even bother - it would be DOA for countless reasons.
