Who knows

With the courts system these days, some judge could find a reason to say a conference keeping a school out because it is single sex, religious, or some other reason. Don't see it happening because right now there is the Independent route that ND, BYU and UMass are doing, and I would think people or institutions would still be able to enter into associations and groups based on who they want to associate with, or not associate with.

What I can see is that the courts will find that the current P5 if it morphs into a P4 with a set number of schools could be a monopoly or restraint of trade if there isn't a realistic path for a school to get into the playoff system.
