What happens when the cable subscriber model becomes obsolete?


It's just a matter of time. At that point geographic population footprints won't be as important as actual paying fans watching all those games on various forms of media and apps. Viewing the ACCN may be like subscribing to TSL or ESPN pay sites. TV may be a fraction of the revenue in the near future. If that becomes the case, WVU, with all their loyal fans, may be more likely to pay for conference network content than Boston College fans, even though BC has 4 times the population footprint than WVU.
