Are you talking about deals made under the table in smokey rooms?

That would indicate desperation on the part of the HC. They expect this plan to work because they have history from around the country that proves it works. Pretty sure from my talks with UVa fans that VT fans are going thru the same pains they went thru when UVa started a plan like this. Hate to say we're very similar to UVa fans but in this case that seems to be true. Calculations have been made and the prediction is, it's more an expectation, this plan will bring in more money. It's not an experiment, it's been proven elsewhere and the people working the plan have worked it before.

In reality, we're better fans than UVa. Maybe that's something the new management is counting on, hoping and praying for, that VT is a different place so the fallout will be less here than at other schools when a plan like this was implemented. I don't think we as fans, especially you big donors, are being played or manipulated but VT fans have an opportunity here to show that we're different than the rest, that we are in fact better than the rest. We love VT and will continue to love VT, dropping out of the HC is NOT proof that we don't love VT because that's an individual decision. I will NOT make that judgement and will fight anybody who does. We are being asked to play by new rules implemented out of necessity, once that settles into our minds and our hearts, I believe most will continue to play the game.
