If you donated $50k in 5 years and are still going to be donating at the minimum seat levels, your status isn't dropping much at all. Maybe a couple long time platinum level donors. There are all of 18 Diamond Hokies. I'd be surprised if you fell more than 250 spots. The only thing not being Diamond Status going forward will cost you is the opportunity to buy 10 tickets (which would be $8k anyway)and an exclusive pre game experience that I don't believe was ever offered before anyway. If you are willing to pay the seat minimums, I have no idea what you are complaining about.
