Nova Hokie 95 - I think your compromise idea has real merit. By splitting the per seat amount with the lifetime members, the Hokie Scholarship Fund still moves forward with increased annual giving amounts vs. the flat maint. fee yet honors the commitment, albeit not fully. Another angle might be to allow those who haven't completed the pledge to spread out the remainder to apply toward the new per seat requirement until it runs out then add say - five years at "halfies. For those who have already completed the pledge, go "halfsies" on the per seat level for X years at the $800 level and X+1 years at the next level down and so on. Certainly seems like there are plenty of ways to find some sort of happy medium if the HC is willing to do so.
