So if you keep your $500 maintenance up ...

You get a $1600 value?

I was thinking that all values are cut in half for these lifetime donors -- that to get seats in the $800 level you need to donate $400 a seat, in the $500 level $250 a seat, etc. I wonder if that's something the Hokie Club would consider. Would that seem fair to you?

Part of the thing to realize, too, IMHO, is that these donors have already received SOME value to their donation. And with everyone else asked to take on more, it's not fully fair to leave one group out -- no matter how generous they've been in the past. And I think -- WADR -- that people at this level also made a calculation that it was in THEIR benefit as well to make this type of donation. So I think that factors into things, too.

But with everything taken into consideration, what do you think about a "halfsies" situation for lifetime-level Hokie Club members? I would imagine many of you are interconnected -- and if a group of you brought a proposal to the Hokie Club, they'd listen.

And yeah, I get that it's unfortunate that YOU would have to bring a proposal to THEM. I'm not a fan of the Hokie Club overall and they still have a long way to go, IMHO, to success.
