That was how the Hokie Club marketed those programs. They said, give us the money up front and then you only have to give a nominal fee ($500) every year. That was how they marketed it.
Now sure things change. I didn't expect that to last forever. But they've completely done away with these levels and basically said you are on even ground with everyone else. We expect you to pay $800 a seat just like everyone else.
So the VTAF has taken the 50k/100k and said thanks, how about more? Can you give more? Can you go to that money tree and pick more?
It's just rubbing me the wrong way. It was the same thing with their "give 110%" campaign. They continue to hit the 4% that are giving,
And now they've treated the top 13% of that 4% even worse in my opinion (the donors at Golden Champion and above). It's as if they aren't acknowledging the lump sum they were given except for points once you buy back into a certain level.
