I don't have a problem with metallic orange numbers

Would they need a white border to create some sort of visual separation with the dark maroon? I ask because because I can't stand whenever Duke's basketball team wears it white jersey with white letters because it is more difficult to distinguish on the TV (when the camera angle zooms out) where something ends and another thing begins. For night games, then I would think people watching the game at home or in the stands might run into similar issues especially since the metallic orange may look dull at times. So if the movement of the player (at least to give a good visual angle of the number) is quicker than either the camera or a person's eye, then it could look like the orange and maroon are blurring together.

If metallic orange is going to be used on the jersey, then it might be sharper to use it as a border for the white number. The first time I saw VT wear those metallic orange helmets I immediately thought of the Arizona Rattlers' uniforms (AFL). I always thought the Rattlers had one of the more sharper (maybe even the best) uniforms in the AFL, so I am kinda using them as a measuring stick (at least when it involves metallic helmets).
