the truth. Many of the "big donors" don't have to give anything yearly, and don't, as we were granted lifetime membership in the Hokie Club. When they stopped having new lifetime members, about 6 years ago, new 'big donors" were required to make a minimum donation of $500 while the previous lifetime members were grandfathered and did not have to donate anything. Now, the so called "big donor": lifetime members have to pony up every year just like any other season ticket holder. Also, the new system gives much more reward for long time loyalty preventing someone from coming in and writing a first time donation check for $25000 from getting higher priority than long time donors.
