If they wanted that, there wouldn't be a minimum per ticket cost


It would be, "hey! you can't get season tickets unless you donate, even $100 a year will get you access to tickets." That would be letting those who think you have to donate tons of $ for ticket, it really isn't that hard, but you have to donate a little on top of the ticket price.

This should've been implemented in the 2000s when there was a waiting list for season tickets. People would've tolerated it then because the product was good, and well, the economy was better as well. But, as VT isn't even selling out of season tickets right now, it becomes an extra burden to people already buying tickets.

Maybe Whit is betting on Fuente and Williams, and that they are creating environments where people will pay whatever to get season tickets; however, as the AD needs as many donors/ticket sales/concession sales as they can get, this seems to be ill timing to me.
