First as a broadcaster he was given opportunity to announce on the no one market Los Angeles and with so many changes at va tech and his age it was great timing

He has 30 plus years of friends here - sorry some folks aren't transient and just move from place to place and don't retain longstanding friendships--- he can work nationally and still blow back to friends in Virginia- that's what airplanes are for
