I am not sure C-USA would look that far east for a school though


I say that because it would then force the conference to place either UAB-So Miss or MTSU-WKU in opposite divisions. It doesn't sound like C-USA has any interest in embracing the protected cross-division model, so that would give the conference less incentive to break up either rivalry.
