So true

In my case I grew up listening to 80s music on the radio and watching the videos on MTV (born in 1977). The first record album I got (as a gift) was the Thriller album. Most of my oldest memories are from the 80s and during that time you had a lot of famous artists either bursting on the scene or taking their fame gained as a child to the next level (in the case of MJ). So for me whenever I hear of an 80s star's death, whether it be in music or movies, my mind digs up one of those old memories. Kinda like do you remember when you first heard X song or first saw X movie in a theatre connection even though one may not really exist. Then it dawns on me that I gained a lot of memories during my life especially if I realize that I have been around to witness the rise and fall cycles, the rebirths, and to see that artist's career slowly fade into "retirement."
