Even if the toxicology report comes back that his death was
drug related, I am not sure that should automatically stop the accolades. A somewhat common theme in the arts is that artists sometimes don't receive accolades until after death. Often it is because society goes through a period of rediscovery and comes to the realization about the talent level or specialness of the artist. There are multiple examples throughout history of society overlooking/not fully appreciating the talent of an individual (not just in the arts), so it isn't unreasonable to think that today's society won't do the same thing.
