I kinda admired his concert in B'more
Got the feeling he was trying to calm the situation down some - and not really take sides- this is how he could help. He made some comments about how he'd like to stay at a hotel run/owned by people in that audience, buy food from their restaurants etc. I may be off a bit, but sounded like very constructive thought process maybe with a very sly implication that it's going to take a little work from everyone including you in the audience.
For my part, he's been standard radio fare with some catchy tunes and lines, not the soundtrack of my life but hey. Odd to think he is exactly my generation within a couple years.
