This one doesn't look like it is dual band - the specs say it receives ac


but does not repeat ac.

Most newer wifi routers can themselves be setup in range extender mode. The upside of the ones that are actually branded as range extenders is that they are easier to setup (since you're using it for the primary purpose of the device - the touchscreen looks great - I've never seen one like that). The downside is that the range extenders usually don't have as strong of a signal.

I use the TP-LINK AC1900.
