A brief reflection 4-16 2007...I admit I was at work
trolling the lounge board when a yong man posted asking what was going on at the school. We turned on the tv at work and they had breaking news of a shooting . I messaged him and told him. He said he had herd what sounded like gunshots. He advised he was in Norris Hall. He was scared and the others in the room had blocked the door with desk overturned and they were on floor behind the desk. The news report said there was a active shooter situation. I messaged him back but didnt hear back from him. I still haunts me to this day. I let a couple of years go by and tried visiting the memorial site...Although I never knew any of the victims personaly I was overcome with grief and had to leave. My daughters and son in laws are tech grads and I just thanked God they were't there during that awfull time. One thing that stood out for me was during and after the tragedy was the response from schools all over the country. The outpouring of love and condolences...and a phrase ill never forget " TODAY WE ARE ALL HOKIES ".....RIP HOKIES YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN..
