I've always thought a relationship with a minor league team was critical


Penn State - not exactly known for their baseball, has an awesome looking stadium, that really came together when they merged its use with their minor league State College Spikes minor league team (now affiliated with STL) back in 2006

I included a link to their stadium which seats 5,570.

With our terrace seating area, existing 1,033 or so chair-back seats and this 'new' addition, we should be in that same range size wise.

I think our terraced area is actually a very unique feature to keep and build off of - like an old timey park would have.

Plus, building up our team/facility and adding a minor league presence, brings some needed vitality to Blacksburg in the Summer time for students/staff and residents.

If this concept is true - its a really smart strategy and the "bromance" with WB will continue!
