If you are talking regular season games

then it isn't uncommon for a college football game to be scheduled on a Sunday afternoon over Labor Day Weekend. As far as during the regular season and when the NFL's regular season is in full swing, I remember seeing a couple Conference USA team (ECU, Memphis, and USF are the ones that come to mind) schedule a regular season for Sunday (late) afternoon or evening.

Now as far as CCG goes, I don't think any have ever been played on a Sunday. However, when the Big XII played its CCG at Arrowhead one year there was talk about postponing it for safety reasons. The game was at night and I believe the temperature (including wind chill) was below zero. Also, I thought within the last 10 years or so there was a televised DI-AA, DII, or DIII Playoff game that was originally scheduled for Friday night, but was postponed to Saturday due to weather (I think heavy rains and maybe lightning in the area).
