I don't know for sure but with a career mark of 29-0 and being undefeated, that would be barely > 7 matches over a 4 yr career and he was conference champ for 2 or 3 yrs. I'm guessing that there were not many dual matches back in those days, most of the matches took place in Southern Conference Tourney. Maybe the small time reputation, he wasn't invited to the NCAA tourney until his senior year???? I remember seeing a SouthCon tourney at Washington & Lee but don't remember what year it was.
