Back when I was wrestling (1960s - HS; early 1970s - college), I believe

(if my recollection is correct) that we could be awarded up to 2 points for riding time (the second point was for riding time differential > 2 minutes).

In addition, there were fewer ways to amass individual and team points back then. For example, near falls could be awarded only 2 or 3 points. Only 2 (draw), 3 (decision), and 5 (pin) team points were awarded.
