If you are just trying to gauge whether they are prepared


there are much better ways to do that.

Personally, I'd ask them questions about the company itself. A "what is your biggest weakness" question is one you can prepare one answer for and regurgitate it to every interviewer. And realistically, you can probably recycle the same answer for 20+ years as long as it still sounds good.

But ask a candidate questions about your own company, that would show they are specifically prepared for THIS interview.
