My FIL was in the Air Force Police unit that flew with Pres. Eisenhower

on this plane. His unit was based at National Airport and he was lucky enough to qualify to fly with the former 5 star General and POTUS. I have a photo on my wall showing Ike shaking hands with an officer on the tarmac at Augusta airport with two Augusta National club officials also in the greeting party (One may have been Clifford Roberts, the co-founder of the club). My father in law, at that time a 19 year old airman, was standing at attention behind them, between them and Columbine II.

We have a beautiful color photo of the Green Room with the official Presidential seal and a machine written Christmas greeting from the Eisenhower's. He was fortunate to have been selected for such a prestigious duty.
