Degen

I know he is very talented and ranked nationally, but for the life of me I can't imagine what weight Degen will wrestle in 2 years (assuming a likely redshirt freshman year). He's ranked at 145, but he is supposedly 6'2" and his arms are really long even for that height. Check out a video or two on Flo to see how tall and thin he is.

Not even NC State - with its apparent preference for taller wrestlers - is running out 6'2" guys at 141 or 149. His length could present match-up difficulties for many opponents, but his competition in college will be much more physically stronger than most of his HS competition. I expect he'll be encouraged to spend a lot of time in the weight room. I can't imagine him starting for the team at anything less than 157 some day, and that may be too low. To me, he looks like the high school freshman who comes in really light, and wrestlers 5 weight classes higher before he graduates.
