I recall wrestling at 126..a weight I'm just not built

to weigh as a heavier set 5'6" dude. I lost over 25 lbs to make that weight and lost a lot of muscle in the process. I can't begin to describe the impact on not only my wrestling and athleticism that year, but also impact on everything else..school, health, etc.. I moved up to 132 next year and it made such a difference. Better season and everything else even though that is still an uncomfortable weight. Ha..I weigh about 170 now and not fat although I could lose a few ;)

For those who've not experienced wrestling, especially the lower weight classes, which IMO get much tougher relatively in terms of weight loss, it is absolutely brutal. The smaller wrestlers deserve a lot of props as they really sacrifice tremendously for their sport.
