In Alston's defense - I've got no problem offering him because

of his father and we offered a lot of guys with few to no other D1 offers in the last few years. Even if he wasn't Bruce's son, the way our recruiting was going the last few years, Alston had a good chance of getting an offer from VT anyway.

There was an article written on TSL this year, I believe, about that factor in our football recruiting the last few years. Good info that makes the price of a TSL subscription well worth the price.
