Bud said all kinds of nice things about him and I was quick to believe Bud and to adopt the viewpoint you're adopting. Maybe you're right -- maybe what looks like Motu being out of position and struggling to get off blocks (and often being out of position because he'd try to go around a blocker rather than fill his gap) is a bit of an illusion.

I genuinely hope that's the case, that he's closer to being an impact player than it appears, and that Bud's optimism is warranted. He's the expert -- but I feel like we kind of heard the same thing last spring.
