Anyone know the last time a young LB passed an experienced starter?
I can think of a few times when the talent situation might have made it possible, but I don't recall how the depth & experience dictated actual playing time.
In recent memory, I'd say Vince Hall could certainly have supplanted a starter. Did he? Or was he conveniently next in line for an essentially empty spot?
When Baaqee (and the D as a whole) was having issues, was there anyone behind him?
Didn't Bruce Taylor switch positions a few times? Lack of depth in general throughout the LB corps?
I feel that from a measureables & talent perspective, Lydon should have a legitimate shot at beating out Motuopouaka for the MLB spot, but will he? [Post edited by wattle at 03/19/2016 11:00AM]
